Bio

Bryn began her ultimate career in 1997 with the UC San Diego Psychos. Playing all four years, and captaining for three, she dominated as a cutter as well as a handler. As a second-year captain, Bryn led the Psychos to their first Nationals appearance in 1999. In 2001, the Psychos made it all the way to the National semi's, and as their leader, Bryn earned the team's Callahan nomination.

Bryn spent her first 3 club seasons playing with Safari in San Diego, but in 2002 joined Fury and never looked back. And boy, are we glad she didn't. Bryn's attitude on and off the field make her an all-around amazing player. As a captain in 2005, 2006, and 2007, she led the team not only with her fearless and intense desire to play well and work hard as a team, but with her sincere, compassionate disposition that has touched every one of her teammates. As the lone captain in 2007, Bryn led Fury to their second consecutive National title, deeming Fury team USA for the 2008 WFDF Ultimate World Championships this August.

As a veteran downfield player, Bryn's ability to sprint, cut, and juke her defender is a talent for which she is widely respected. Also, her long throws early in the count make her a huge threat after she's already kicked your butt and gotten open on the open side. Don't be dissuaded by her pretty pearl earrings and big bright smile- she's a force to be reckoned with, and she'll run circles around you if you're not careful.

Bryn currently lives in El Cerrito, CA and works for a non-profit doing foster care reform litigation. As 2008 marks her last year with Fury (tear, sniffle), she plans on starting a family and creating more small, cute, pearl-wearing ultimate studs.
