Bio

Abby Christopher started playing ultimate at UC Davis in 2004. Her height and speed made her a natural as a reciever and she played a significant role in getting the Pleiades to nationals in 2006. As a third year senior (the Pleiades wish she'd started sooner!), and a captain of her team, Abby developed her buttery lefty throws, with hucks and breaks that helped her lead the team as a handler and earn her the team's Callahan nomination.

Abby entered the club ultimate season in 2007 with a posse of Bay Area college rivals on Slackjaw, handling and proving that her lefty hucks are just as devasting in club. She earned her place on Fury in 2008 by proving that her hucks are complemented by sticky hands and huge ups, a quick break, a big mark, smart defense, and the ability to get the job done anywhere on the field. She is an absolutely wonderful teammate - works hard at all times with a smile on her face. When she's not inspiring her Fury teammates, she's inspiring kids and will start a job as the Athletic Director (yeah!) at Georgiana Bruce Kirby Prep in Santa Cruz this fall.
